story about a recent study showing that academic success is largely dependent on whether children believe in their ability to improve their intelligence.
This is the so-called “growth mindset,” which I wrote about in this blog a few months back. The fixed mindset, on the other hand, views intelligence as something we are born with and can’t do much to change.
