Former Georgia state schools Superintendent Linda C. Schrenko was charged Feb. 8 in a new indictment that adds money laundering to the charges of conspiracy, wire fraud, and theft of public funds she faces. Ms. Schrenko was first indicted in November. She has pleaded not guilty to all of the charges, which prosecutors say stem from an alleged scheme to generate cash for her unsuccessful 2002 gubernatorial campaign.
