Sally B. Kilgore was recently named the founding president of the Coalition for Comprehensive School Improvement, an alliance of 15 groups promoting school reform models.

Ms. Kilgore, 59, will continue in her position as the president and chief executive officer of the Nashville, Tenn.-based Modern Red SchoolHouse, a member of the coalition.
The CCSI, also based in Nashville, was founded in May and will work with member organizations and congressional lawmakers to align coalition improvement models with the No Child Left Behind Act. (“Research Group, New American Schools Merge,” May 5, 2004.)
