Robert R. “Bud” Spillane

Robert R. “Bud” Spillane was named the director of the education center at the Center for Naval Analyses Corp., a nonprofit research organization in Alexandria, Va. Mr. Spillane, 71—a former superintendent of the Fairfax County, Va., schools and the Boston public schools—was most recently a regional education officer for Europe in the U.S. Department of State’s office of overseas schools.
