- A task force of the Business-Higher Education Forum calls on President Reagan to mount a coordinated national effort “to rebuild the nation’s economy and strengthen our educational system.”
- The number of alternative public secondary schools has grown dramatically since 1975, to a total of about 2,500 nationwide, according to “The Current Status of Schools of Choice in Public Secondary Education,” a new report issued by the National Institute of Education.
