Research Groups to Merge

By Debra Viadero — July 26, 2005 1 min read

The Campbell Collaboration, an international group formed in 1999 to synthesize studies in the social sciences, is merging with the American Institutes for Research. Scheduled to be announced this week, the merger marks the Washington-based air’s latest effort to expand and to link itself to research ventures with a practical bent. The groups have worked together since 2002 to develop the U.S. Department of Education’s What Works Clearinghouse.
