An estimated 4.7 million children in the United States live in families in which the head of the household or that person’s spouse is an undocumented immigrant, according to a report.
The analysis of U.S. Census Bureau data by the Washington-based Pew Hispanic Center found that nearly two-thirds, 64 percent, of those children were born in this country and are U.S. citizens.
