An Ohio district’s practice of handing out fliers from religious groups as a community service does not violate the Constitution’s prohibition of government-established religion, according to a unanimous ruling by a three-judge panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 6th Circuit, in Cincinnati. The Aug. 12 ruling for the 1,200-student Crestview school district reversed a decision that had barred the district from advertising events “at which proselytization will occur.”
