Neal K. Kaske has joined the U.S. National Commission on Libraries and Information Science as the director of statistics and surveys.
Mr. Kaske, 60, was the head of the Engineering and Physical Sciences Library at the University of Maryland College Park.
The Washington-based NCLIS advises the president and Congress on library and information policies.
