Kathy M. Hurley was elected the chairwoman of the National School Boards Foundation’s board of trustees at its annual meeting in November.
Ms. Hurley, 60, is the senior vice president of strategic partnerships at Pearson Education’s School Companies, based in Upper Saddle River, N.J. She was first elected to the foundation board in 2002.
The National School Boards Foundation works in partnership with the National School Boards Association to encourage school board leadership and community engagement. Both the foundation and the association are based in Alexandria.
