Jesse B. Register will join the Annenberg Institute for School Reform at Brown University in Providence, R.I., on Sept. 1. Mr. Register, 59, was the superintendent of the 40,500-student Chattanooga-Hamilton County school district in Tennessee for the past 10 years.
