Jane Callahan recently joined Parents as Teachers National Center Inc. as a public-policy manager.
Ms. Callahan, 45, previously served as the assistant to the vice president for research at Washington University in St. Louis, and as a policy analyst for the city of St. Louis.
Parents as Teachers, also based there, is an early-childhood education and family-support program.
