Exit Exams Still Required

Seniors from the West Contra Costa Unified School District who have not passed California’s high school exit exam will have to keep trying if they want to earn a diploma after all. In a 4-1 vote, the board of the 35,000-student district last week defeated a proposal to allow students to graduate if they demonstrated mastery of the curriculum in other ways.
