Eva L. Baker is the new president-elect of the American Educational Research Association. She was elected by the membership to serve one-year terms as president-elect, president, and past president, starting last month.
Ms. Baker, 64, is a professor of psychological studies in education and social research methodology at the University of California, Los Angeles’ graduate school of education and information studies. She has been the director of UCLA’s Center for the Study of Evaluation since 1975.
The Washington-based AERA represents about 22,700 educational researchers around the world.
