Eugene W. Hickok recently joined the 8-member policy council for Civic Enterprises, a Washington-based public-policy-consulting firm.
Mr. Hickok, 55, had served as both deputy secretary and undersecretary of education at the U.S. Department of Education from 2001 to 2005. He also was Pennsylvania’s secretary of education from 1995 to 2001.
He will continue to work as the senior policy director at Washington-based Dutko Worldwide, a governmental-affairs strategy and management firm.
