Following is a schedule for President Bush’s education summit with his Cabinet and the nation’s governors in Charlottesville, Va., this week:

Wednesday, Sept. 27

10 A.M.-3 P.M.--Governors, education advisers, and Cabinet members arrive in Charlottesville.

3 P.M.--The President and Mrs. Bush arrive in Charlottesville.

3:15 P.M.--Program begins.

3:30 P.M.--The President and Governors Campbell and Clinton make brief remarks and welcome participants to the summit.

4-5:30 P.M.--Opening session in the Rotunda on the University of Virginia campus. Three simultaneous sessions will be held.

Thursday, Sept. 28

8-9:30 A.M.--Second session in the Rotunda. Three simultaneous sessions will be held.

9:30-11 A.M.--The President, governors, and Cabinet secretaries attend plenary session in the Dome Room of the Rotunda. Mrs. Bush hosts separate plenary session for spouses.

11:30 A.M.-12:30 P.M.--Governors, Cabinet secretaries, and staff attend convocation for the University of Virginia community at University Hall.

1-2:30 P.M.--Governors, Cabinet secretaries, and one adviser attend working lunch in the Ballroom of Newcomb Hall.

2:45 P.M.--Concluding statement by the President and Governors Branstad, Gardner, Clinton, and Campbell.

3 P.M.--Summit concludes.
