A story on state teacher standards in the Jan. 5, 2005, issue of Education Week (“States Criticized on Standards for Veteran Teachers”) gave an incorrect location for the headquarters of the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards. It is in Washington.
An item in the Jan. 26 People column incorrectly spelled the name of Alfonzo Thurman, the president of the Holmes Partnership and the dean of the school of education at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
