A story in the Jan. 30, 2002, issue of Education Week on the Elementary and Secondary Education Act’s requirements for scientifically based research gave an incorrect Web address for the Education Quality Institute in Washington. The address is: www.eqireports.org.

Because of a production error, the Editor’s Note following Edwin J. Delattre’s Commentary in the Jan. 23 issue incorrectly stated the date on which the 19th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution was ratified. That date was Aug. 26, 1920, not April 18, 1906, as stated, which was the date of the San Francisco earthquake.

A version of this article appeared in the February 06, 2002 edition of Education Week
