Betty Edwards has been named the executive director of the National Middle School Association, based in Westerville, Ohio. Ms. Edwards is the assistant vice president for testing and professional development for Measured Progress, a nonprofit organization based in Dover, N.H., that provides customized assessment products and educational services. She will begin her new job Aug. 1.
