Barbara E. Kerr

Barbara E. Kerr was unanimously re-elected as president of the California Teachers Association in an election held last month.

Ms. Kerr, 58, will begin her second, two-year term on June 25. She is on leave from her position as an elementary school teacher in the 42,000-student Riverside Unified School District.

The Burlingame, Calif.-based CTA, which has 335,000 members, is the largest state teachers’ organization in the country. It is an affiliate of the National Education Association.
