Anthony J. Colón and Will Marshall are the newest members of the District of Columbia Public Charter School Board. They were appointed to their four-year terms by Washington Mayor Anthony A. Williams.
Mr. Colón, 57, is the senior manager for education investment strategies at Fight For Children, a Washington-based nonprofit organization that raises money for K-12 education groups in the area. Mr. Marshall is the president and founder of the Progressive Policy Institute, a Washington think tank affiliated with the Democratic Leadership Council.
The District of Columbia Public Charter School Board is an independent chartering authority that oversees 26 charter schools in the nation’s capital.
