Mike Feinberg and Dave Levin, co-founders of the Knowledge Is Power Program (KIPP), were announced as winners of the 2009 Charles Bronfman Prize, which recognizes paradigm-shifting vision in education.

Mr. Feinberg and Mr. Levin were acknowledged for the success of KIPP, a national network of tuition-free, open-enrollment, college-preparatory schools.

The Charles Bronfman Prize is accompanied by a $100,000 award, which the two winners will use to fund a KIPP-inspired program in an underserved community in northern Israel.
