Richard Sterling
Richard Sterling plans to step down from his position as the executive director of the Berkeley, Calif.-based National Writing Project, which works to improve writing instruction. Mr. Sterling, 67, will continue teaching as an adjunct professor for the graduate school of education at the University of California, Berkeley, after he resigns in early 2008.
