Across the country, districts are defining Portrait of a Learner frameworks to clarify the skills students need for life beyond graduation. The question many district leaders are asking next is: How do you move from a vision on paper to something that actually shapes instruction and scales across schools?

In this webinar, strategic education advisor and former chief academic officer Dr. Terra Greenwell will open with a look at the growing momentum behind Portrait initiatives and the common challenges districts face when turning vision into sustainable practice.

Leaders from Carroll County Schools will then share the strategies their team used to build a Portrait of a Learner that is embedded in instruction, assessment, and districtwide systems.

You’ll hear how they:

  • Built alignment across schools and stakeholders to support systemwide implementation
  • Translated Portrait competencies into observable student evidence
  • Sustained momentum while refining and scaling the work across the district
