Armed conflict is one of the biggest reasons that 115 million children in the world are not attending primary school, according to a report by Save the Children.

The report by the Washington-based nonprofit organization estimates that 43 million children in conflict-affected countries are not attending school. It says that armed conflict has created a fragile environment for schooling in 30 countries. For example, it estimates that in Iraq, there are 818,000 primary-school-age children who are not in school.
