Professional Development Charts
Teachers acquire professional development in a varitey of ways.
Fifty-nine percent of public school teachers reported that they participated in professional-development activities focusing on in-depth study of content in their main fields in a 12-month period.
While almost all teachers participated in some type of professional development activity during a 12-month period, fewer reported taking part in activities that focused on in-depth study of content in their main fields over the same period.
