Radio Opinions Sought
The Federal Communications Commission is weighing the future of low-power FM radio, a short-range format that was created in 2000 for noncommercial broadcasting by schools and other nonprofit organizations. The commission, in a proposed rule issued July 7, asked for comment on questions such as whether full-power commercial stations should be allowed to take over radio frequencies used by low-power radio stations.
