The first online school for girls, a private academy launched by a consortium of prestigious all-girls schools, opened last year with six courses and 60 girls from the member schools. This year, the Online School for Girls is opening its doors to girls from all around the world.
“We are thrilled to be able to open up the opportunities to all girls next year, so that now, no matter where a girl lives, she can have access to incredibly high-quality courses, at affordable costs, and designed for the ways that she learns best,” said Molly Rumsey, the interim director of the Online School for Girls, in a press release.
Semester-long courses will be $650, while year-long courses will cost $1,300. Classes include AP Psychology, AP Statistics, Environmental Science, AP Computer Science, Multivariable Calculus, Differential Equations, Genetics, Women in Art and Literature, Global Issues, US Government (with an AP option), Art and Code, and Graphic Art.
