Texas Social Studies Standards Up

A tip of the hat to Erik Robelen, a colleague of ours at Education Week who points out that Texas has released its final version of its much-debated social studies standards. The Texas board of education posted the edited version online, so you can track the changes since the last version.

We wrote about the standards last month, when the Washington Post‘s Valerie Strauss attempted to find “the most egregious twist of history.” (She decided the winner was Texas’ attempt to rename the U.S. slave trade “the Atlantic triangular trade.”)
