Although it may be weeks, or even months, before the school year starts where you live, the National Center for Learning Disabilities is offering advice and guidance about preparing for the 2011-12 school year today.
At 1 p.m., they’re hosting a live online chat during which you can ask questions and learn about how to prepare for the fall.
An NCLD parent leader will discuss how to create a packet of information about your child for a teacher, get records in order, figure out whether his or her Individualized Education Program is set for the year, and how to get your child ready for the fall, too.
Click here to see how to ask a question before the chat begins. And visit the same page once it’s 1 p.m. Eastern time. If you can’t join live, NCLD said a transcript of the chat will be posted on its website.
