Building Machines Helps Students Learn Physical and Life Sciences (Video)

In a lesson that uses knowledge and skills found in the Next Generation Science Standards, high school science teacher Tricia Shelton has students use energy concepts to make connections between physical and life science systems. Students work in groups to design Rube-Goldberg machines to demonstrate their understanding of energy transfers within ecosystems.
