Building a Positive Classroom Culture With Social-Skills Goals (Video)

In Waukesha, Wis., Meredith Sweeny, a humanities teacher, and Shannon Kay, who teaches English-language learners, use graphic organizers to help students set social-skills goals for the classroom. By identifying how these social skills—such as being respectful and staying on task—look and sound, students discuss how they can exemplify these traits to build a positive classroom culture.
