Today at 2 p.m. Eastern, Education Week will be hosting an online chat on “Creating a Culture of Innovation” in K-12 school districts. The discussion will feature a pair of school superintendents who have tried to transform their districts through technology and other means.
The guests are David Britten, superintendent of the Godfrey-Lee school district in Wyoming, Mich., who has sought to revamp his small, high-poverty district’s technology programs and improve communication with parents and the community; and Linda Clark, superintendent of Joint School District No. 2, in Meridian, Idaho, who has also pushed for more and better technology use in her district, making a special effort to involve teachers in shaping ed-tech initiatives.
Education Week explored those topics, and the many challenges school leaders face in integrating technology into teaching and learning, in our recent special report, “Managing the Digital District.”
