Tennessee state Sen. Ward Crutchfield, one of five legislators in the state arrested last month as part of an FBI investigation on charges of accepting bribes in exchange for legislative favors, is leaving his job as the lawyer for the Hamilton County, Tenn., school board. The Democrat, who maintains he is innocent, submitted his letter of resignation last week to the board of the 40,000-student district, which includes Chattanooga.
