The study, “Charter School Partnerships...8 key lessons for success,” can be found online from the Center on Educational Governance. ()

A group of researchers from the University of Southern California, in Los Angeles, has produced a report that distills eight lessons for charter schools seeking to partner with other organizations.

The guide is based on two years of interviews with founders and managers of 22 charter schools nationwide, from the Bronx borough in New York City to Santa Ana, Calif. The schools shared a common characteristic in that they had entered into partnerships with for-profit, nonprofit, or public-sector organizations in forming or managing their schools.
