Being a school principal can be hard - a new federal study shows that they work, on average, nearly 60 hours a week. From paperwork to classroom observations, school leaders must balance a variety of tasks, demands, and responsibilities. What does a principal’s day truly look like?

To find out, Education Week asked six principals from across the country to film themselves periodically throughout a typical school day - from the early morning hours to dinner time.
