The leader of the education committee of the Indiana House has formed a lobbying company to represent clients in the field of education.
State Rep. Robert Behning, a Republican, formed Berkshire Education Strategies last June and says he is looking to represent student-testing company Questar in Oklahoma. He said he intends to represent only out-of-state clients and has submitted a draft contract with Questar to the House ethics committee for its review.
Questar is being paid $6.4 million this year to create and run the tests that Indiana high school students must pass to graduate.
