New Executive Director To Take Reins at AASA
Daniel A. Domenech, an executive with the publisher McGraw-Hill Education and a former superintendent of the Fairfax County, Va., school district, has been selected as the new executive director of the American Association of School Administrators.
Mr. Domenech, who will begin his new job on July 1, will succeed Paul D. Houston, who is retiring after leading the Arlington, Va.-based organization for 14 years.
A native of Cuba who moved to the United States at age 9, Mr. Domenech is a senior vice president and head of the Urban Advisory Resource for McGraw-Hill. In that role, he is responsible for building relationships with large school districts across the nation.
The AASA is a professional organization with more than 13,000 members.
