N.J. Conference Set

In an effort to promote public support and understanding of education, Rutgers University will convene a statewide conference on primary and secondary education in December.

The conference, announced last month by Edward J. Bloustein, the university’s president, will bring together parents, educators, and representatives of business, industry and labor.

Support from all sectors, Mr. Bloustein said, is necessary to improve elementary and secondary education in New Jersey. The conference will be followed by a series of forums on public education held around the state.--sw
