Their school days are over, but the members of the graduating class at North Community High School in Minneapolis will not be able to frame their diplomas until the firm that printed them corrects an unfortunate spelling error. According to the first batch of diplomas, the students were graduates of North Community High Scool.
The diplomas were distributed to the 225 seniors at their June commencement ceremony.
All of the diplomas were proofread to check the spelling of students’ names, but the misspelled word--"scool"--was overlooked, according to a spokesman at the school, who was clearly exasperated to receive another telephone call on the matter.
The printer of the diplomas--Josten’s Co.--will pay for the new diplomas.
