Francis Eberle last week became the new deputy executive director of the National Association of State Boards of Education.
For the past year, he has led the group’s work on the Next Generation Science Standards. Prior to that, he served as director of the 55,000-member National Science Teachers Association. Mr. Eberle, 60, also served as director of the Maine Mathematics and Science Alliance and taught middle school science for 15 years.
He replaces Bradley J. Hull, who left NASBE in June.
