Most schools spend too much time focusing on how they can use security technologies and not enough time addressing the real problems that cause aggression and violence among students, a report says.
“The State of School Safety in American Schools,” is available from Seraph.net.
The report—released by SERAPH.net, a King of Prussia, Pa.-based consulting and training firm—bases its findings on more than 1,500 teacher and administrator interviews as well as research studies. It also found that most of the teachers and administrators interviewed believe that most parents lack the maturity to address their children’s behavioral problems.
