In five years, more than half of all student-computing devices will likely be mobile, a survey of the nation’s 2,500 largest school districts forecasts.
The survey, sponsored by education companies Discovery Education and Pearson Education, is based on responses from superintendents, curriculum directors, and technology directors representing more than 11 million students. It also found that most schools that have started one-to-one computing initiatives report seeing moderate to significant advances in students’ academic progress since the initiatives were put in place.
