Regarding my Jan. 18, 2006, Commentary, written with Antonia Cortese, “Closing the Staffing Gap”:
The beginning of the Commentary’s credit line should read: “Antonia Cortese is the executive vice president of the American Federation of Teachers and board chair of the Learning First Alliance, a permanent partnership of 11 major national education associations working together to improve student learning.”
The original credit line we submitted omitted Ms. Cortese’s role as the Learning First Alliance’s chair.
