HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES

HR 5313--Tax exemptions. A bill to amend the Internal Revenue Code of 1954 to prohibit the Internal Revenue Service (irs) from granting tax-exempt status to schools that have racially discriminatory policies. By Rep. Conable (R-N.Y.).

HR 5357--Social Security. A bill to extend to June 30, 1982, the date by which a student must have enrolled in a postsecondary school, college, or university to continue receiving benefits under Social Security’s old-age, survivors, and disability insurance program. By Rep. Solomon (R-N.Y.) and 13 others.

H Con Res 245--Tax exemptions. A concurrent resolution that would prevent the irs from granting federal tax benefits to educational organizations that are racially discriminatory. By Rep. Downey (D-N.Y.) and one other.

H Con Res 246--Tax exemptions. A concurrent resolution that would prevent the irs from granting federal tax benefits to educational institutions that discriminate on the basis of race or color. By Rep. Jacobs (D-Ind.) and one other.

H Res 318--Tax exemptions. A resolution encouraging the courts to allow the irs to deny tax exemptions to schools that have racially discriminatory policies. By Rep. Rangel (D-N.Y.)
