Jacquelyn Thompson and Mabrey Whetstone are now serving as the president and the president-elect, respectively, for the National Association of State Directors of Special Education. The Alexandria, Va.-based organization supports education programs and services for students with disabilities. Ms. Thompson is the state director of special education in Michigan. Mr. Whetstone is the state director of special education services in Alabama.
