“Teacher Education Reform: The Impact of Federal Investments” is available from the American Association of Colleges for Teacher Education.

A group that represents nearly 800 colleges of education has released a report profiling federal grants and their impact on teacher education in 27 states and the District of Columbia.

The report—produced by the Washington-based American Association of Colleges for Teacher Educa-tion—profiles 54 grants aimed at improving teacher preparation through strengthening partnerships between higher education institutions, local school districts, and states. It also highlights the work being done by colleges to prepare teachers to meet the criteria for being “highly qualified” under the federal No Child Left Behind Act.
