Hawaii Tuition to Rise

The University of Hawaii board of regents voted May 10 to more than double tuition over the next six years, securing much-needed new funds and setting tuition more in line with U.S. mainland universities. In six years, in-state tuition at the main Manoa campus will go from $3,500 this school year to $8,400.
