A former San Francisco school official pleaded guilty June 17 to two felonies stemming from a $30 million contract to save energy. Timothy Tronson, 48, the district’s director of facilities management and development in 1999 and 2000, admitted in superior court to misappropriating public funds and tax evasion. He will serve four years in state prison and pay a $10,000 fine plus restitution. Other individuals have been charged with helping him steal $500,000 from an escrow account set up under the contract with Raleigh, N.C.-based Strategic Resources Solutions, which pleaded guilty in 2002 to two felonies and paid $1 million in fines and restitution.
