Funding for Title I*, adjusted for inflation, grew by 23 percent between fiscal 1994 and 2001. Public school enrollment in the United States, meanwhile, grew by about 7 percent from fall 1994 to fall 2001. (Enrollment data for 2000 and 2001 are estimates.)
